2012 Action Sports Grand Prix Series
Attention All Riders
The opening round of the 2012 Action Sports Grand Prix Series will take place this Saturday April 14th at the Action Sports Moto Park on Salem Rd. in Athens, Ohio. The 8 round GP series will award a number 1 plate to each class winner along with contingency awards from our sponsors to the top 5 riders in each class. Riders must ride 5 events in the same class to be eligible for series awards and the riders' best 6 scores will count toward the series championship, there are 2 "throwaway" races if a rider rides all eight events. If a rider has two bad finishes they will not adversely affect their results in the final series point standings. No membership is required to ride our GP series or Team Hare Scramble events this year.
Also for the first time ever we will hold an open practice on our motocross track on Sunday from 10 AM to 3 PM for motorcycles and mini bikes and from 3 PM to 5 PM for mini and adult ATV's. Practice fee is $20 per rider, BUT…to introduce our incredible new motocross track to all riders; any rider that rides our first Grand Prix this Saturday can camp and ride our MX practice on Sunday for free. This is a special one time offer so don't miss out.
The motocross track will be prepped after Saturday's Grand Prix event as well.
Gates open at 9 AM. The first motorcycle race begins at 11 AM, Mini ATV classes at Noon, 65's, 85's & Super mini at 12:30 PM, Motorcycles at 1:30 PM, 50's at 2:30 PM, Motorcycles at 3 PM and ATV classes at 4 PM. Action Sports off road motorcycle and ATV racing season!!
The 2012 Action Sports racing schedule includes 8 Grand Prix events, the 28th Team Harescramble Championship of the World and our 2nd Annual Vintage Cross Country and Motocross National. We will also hold a motocross practice the day after each of our Grand Prix events. Please check out our race and practice dates listed below.
We have plenty of flat parking, and concessions. We do our best to run on time, put on an enjoyable, organized event and give you your money's worth every time you race. Navigate through our website for times, classes fees, videos and more.

Team Harescramble Championship of the World
The 28th Team Harescramble Championship of the World takes place Saturday and Sunday November 3rd & 4th at the Action Sports Moto Park in Athens, Ohio. Come and see what fun four hundred riders have year after year. (Rain Date November 17th & 18th)
Known as the most fun on two wheels the Team Harescramble Championship of the World began in 1984 and has grown to be the largest event of its kind and one of Ohio’s largest harescramble events as 200 teams normally compete throughout the weekend.
AHRMA Vintage Cross Country and Motocross Nationals return
The 2012 AHRMA Vintage Cross Country and Motocross Nationals will return to the Action Sports Moto Park in Athens, Ohio on Saturday and Sunday June 23rd and 24th 2012. We can’t wait to do it all again.

High Flying Indoor Motocross racing returns to Huntington

The thrills and excitement of the West Virginia Indoor Motocross Championship will return to the Big Sandy Superstore Arena in Huntington on Friday and Saturday January 13th & 14th 2012 at 7:30 PM.
The Huntington arenacross plays host to hundreds of local mini and amateur riders along with professional riders from the Tri State area and all over the country. Thousands of loyal motorcycle racing enthusiasts pack the arena for two incredible nights of racing.

My name is Ric Myers, I am a 58 year old novice racer, just started this year, you've probably heard the story before, kids are grown and friends got old and I didn't want to get old with them anyway not that I'm an expert or anything but I wanted to take a moment and congratulate you on having as nice a track and facility as I have been to, I have been to 5 or 6 other places and nothing comes close to your place as far as layout combining woods and track.
I had a blast, and my girlfriend loved it as much as I did, she was able to take lots of pictures and also just see lots of racing, not just riders disappearing into the woods. I know I will always track your wed site for racing dates in the future. mostly though I just wanted to take a moment and thank you for the product you put out there, I can only imagine how much thought and time went into it.
